Yang is a passionate tennis coach whose philosophy combines discipline and intensity with technical excellence and tactical precision.  Yang was previously employed at both the UBC Tennis Centre and at the Elite Tennis Academy.

 

At the UBC Tennis Centre, Yang led adult programs ranging from the 1.0 to 4.0 levels. He also led multiple junior programs, both high performance and recreational.

 

Yang worked for the Elite Tennis Academy from 2019 to 2024 where he was the head coach for the last two years. He helped create, develop, and lead programs from the greendot to u18 level. These programs went on to produce some of the top players of each age category for both boys and girls. Yang also enjoyed consistently attending his students' matches, providing both pre match mental and tactical preparation and post match debrief and analysis. 

 

Through his coaching, Yang hopes to not only share his love of the game with his students, but to also produce competent and skilled tennis players.
